This is not funny. This... this is a morality tale about the evils of sake.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Thing is, he's asked me if we can go for lunch in a few weeks. So I can't really say anything but "Uh, okay, sure?" right now. When I get around to answering. At least I've set precedent for being slow about that.

Boss just told us we have to come in Saturday.

What?

I have 45 minutes of work to do Saturday. I can't work out if it's worth telling him this. But I will also be suffering last-day-before-ER migraine and really need to not be in front of a lot of people. This I seriously need more help with than lunch guy.

My hand is still swollen, but doing much ebtter.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Re: The headless corpse in Evanston: Police declare all clear in Evanston pipe bombing; family says it was suicide

The guy battled depression his whole life. Sad.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

Three minutes after I left the doctor's office, there was a downpour. I have extra shoes in my desk and an extra cardigan to wear while my jacket dries out, but I'm stuck with wet jeans all day.

Librarian Warlord

I can only imagine how annoyed I'm going to get when people assume I've taken my husband's last name

I really try not to get annoyed at people for this, but when it's my DH's friends and relatives who still address things to us as Mr & Mrs. @@

I think I've told this story here before, but a few weeks after we were married, my college alumni association addressed something to me using his last name, which freaked me out (since I certainly didn't tell them I was getting married) and then a few weeks after that I got something else, addressed correctly, with a little handwritten note apologizing for the mistake. My only explanation is that they bugged our living room.

SHIT there's been a shooting at Hopkins hospital. I can't find good information about it just people's fb status updates. I have way too many loved ones there.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

At least they're calling you Mrs. Harbin and not Lisa. I HATE that.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

All good thoughts and prayers to Liese, and to Moses's family, and peace on his memory and spirit. How utterly devastating.

And I'm joining the chorus of those saying Nilly has nothing to be forgiven for, except not being here more often, and even that is just regret and love and pining, not anything that actually needs serious forgiveness.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Kat, I've been spreading the word via my email list. I hope to get some more votes for you.
