Shit's all sorts of different now.

I was at a wedding, so no time for anything else. I did get to a casino, but only for a couple of hours (including lunch).

FUN!! If you ever have to come back and need quick pick up from the airport, let me know - we're 20 minutes from Metro.

And man, that was fast, lady.

I kinda might have gotten the interview about 6 hours after I got laid off. I hate not working so much.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Happy birthday, P-C!

All the best for your interview, Aims. Awesome references is the best way to start.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

This is pretty nifty. A preacher in Amarillo said he was going to burn the Koran at a local park. Not only did a bunch of UUs show up to protest, but a skaterdude swooped in and snatched the Koran from the grill. [link]

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Oh, man, the quote from skaterdude is hysterical.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Speaking of Detroit, I saw this series of photos linked on Twitter the other day, and it's just jaw-dropping.

Those are horrifying and so sad.

Because books.

Those are horrifying and so sad.

And yet a lot of the shots are hauntingly beautiful. It really is unbelievable to see, though. I knew Detroit was in a bad way, but I had no idea it was like that.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Kat, the type of yoga Colin was doing was "hot" yoga. Is that trendy bullshit?
