It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I just saw the picture of Maura Tierney on the cover of Parade, and she looks adorable. I want her haircut.

I haven't seen this pic, but the week she was on the Emmys, like Anne Hathaway and Emma Watson also went very short, and I got hairlust. But Must Tamp Down.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I've been itching to cut also. After the initial surge, I have been focused on organizing all that was unpacked, but today I emptied another box.

Because books.

Mine's already super short, so it would just be a slightly different style. Hmmm.

Had an excellent gray, rainy Sunday nap. ::yawns::

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Got In-Laws safely off this morning. They argued with each other the entire time they were here. It's their way, but it's very exhausting to be around.

Have been trying to install overhead track for new bi-fold door. Cannot get the screws to go in. My arms are like noodles and I'm about to give up for the day.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

Glad you're clear of it, Scrappy.

My thoughts are turning to a new gardening season. Anyone else starting to plan their fall garden? The good news is that my mom is willing to give me some of the yard (the shadiest part). The bad news is that she'd prefer I used raised beds. I'd prefer raised beds except for the part where it's going to cost me hundreds of dollars for construction materials and soil.

So to stave off my cravings until I can work something out, I'm transplanting my raspberries into two EarthBox containers. It's not the ideal use for EarthBoxes, but I don't have any other planting pots that are as big as I need.

I'm already exhausted because I was a good girl and blew my wrists out first thing this morning cleaning the bathroom and shower/tub.

shrift - do you have any likely assistants to help you with either holding the track or the screws? If not, maybe giving up for the day is good. Ice and ibuprofen. It's not easy holding your arms above your head for long periods like that.

I have given up on the new screws provided, and am using the old screws. Two out of three screws in! I'm going to take a food break after the third.

I taped the track in place after trying to install it with my roommate holding the track, but that was just a disaster waiting to happen as there wasn't enough space for both of us in the laundry/utility area.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Happy Birthday P-C!

Takoma Park Folk Fest was nice, as it usually is. (and not boiling hot, like it often is)
