I doubt the same could be said about whoever The Situation is.
Oh yeah. I was surprised, when I was reading the OK! magazine that came in my room at the Planet Hollywood, to learn that there are people on Jersey Shore with regular names. I hadn't heard of them...
(Keith Olbermann likes carrots)
I think it's so funny when Keith mentions Ok! because he sort of reads the exclamation point, also. So it comes out sort of like Ok! which makes me snicker every time.
(/KO likes carrots.)
I have a number of inexplicable things like that, actually.
"13 Yemen Road." "propane."
I used to say they'd get me fired one day. But you know, gotta have a job first.
My friend Nikki's nickname is Noodle.
ION, Netflix for the iPhone and touch is here! YAY.
Someone talk! Bored bored bored.
I just found out the my public library is very likely moving to less than two blocks from where I live!!!!
Thanks Plei, I was leaning towards Ki anyway because it looks so frigging groovy. Is Onxy a store brand or does one buy it online?
I pick mine up at Fred Meyer or Ulta. You can find it a lot of places. CVS might have it?
Seche doesn't mix well with Zoya or Nubar, or really most 3-Free polishes.
Hmm. Good to know.
Diamont's a quick dry (and I find it dries faster on me than Seche, and chips less), as is Poshe.
Chips less would be a big win in my book, as I'm hard on my nails. In fact, I need to go garden right now, and then swim, and then later this afternoon I have to practice guitar. I just applied my new Nubar today, and I expect it to be thoroughly moshed by this evening.
So maybe last night I just put it on too thick? It took, let's see, about four and a half hours from start time? It was a good hour after the topcoat, and it was still tacky when I went to bed. Another hour after that, reading, and I stuck my hand underneath my back. Wrinkle! Two fingers were totally smushed up, showing the nail.
So I redid from scratch this morning, (and okay, changed colors since I was redoing it anyway and I have so many new colors to try!) and I did it in much thinner layers. That seems to have done better, and I've been scrambling around moving boxes and stuff. So maybe that's the key? I just don't have that many five hour blocks of time where I don't need to do *anything* with my hands.
Always do thin coats. Three thin are better than two thick.
I tend to do base, wait a minute, first coat, wait a minute (sometimes two), second coat, wait a minute (top coat or third coat depending), wait five minuntes on completion of manicure for anything much, 30 or so before risking anything harder core. Which means I usually do my nails before watching TV.
See, okay, it takes me way longer than this. I mean, part of it is the length of time it takes me to do the actual coats. But I've been waiting much longer than a few minutes between coats. I don't need to?
Also! What about the bubbles? I have been very bubbly lately. (Ha. Not something I've ever said in other contexts.)
The only reason The Situation even registers with me is that Michael Emerson (Ben from LOST) did a bit on Jimmy Kimmel where he talked about his "situation." So then I had to figure out WTF that was all about, because he was so damn funny doing it.
