In Turkey, I had some ayran, which turns out to be basically the same as salt lassi. I.e., NASTY. OMG. I love salty, but not that! OK, I shouldn't say it was nasty. I should say it was Not For Me.

I was out last week with my brother, SiL and nephew. My nephew was arguing that the restaurant we were in (a chain) didn't qualify as a place where you had to take off your hat to eat.
In college I went with a friend of mine to a bar after a show. He had grey in his hair from the show and was wearing a baseball cap, and they didn't ask him to take it off, they asked him to turn it around backwards. I always thought that was weird.
