I love Emma Thompson and now I want a pot-belly pig again.

Oh, and I climbed on my porch to cut off the branches that were brushing the roof.
Freaking domestic, that's me.
I'm afraid I don't have any brainstorms, Juliebird. I was thinking about walnut family trees and their allelopaths, though. Perhaps being trash talked by others as having BO. Kind of an inaccurate analogy, though.

I think you surpassed domestic and went Tarzan.
Hmm. I just got a political survey call, and they asked if I work for the "news media." I guess I do, since I work for a media company, but my job is so far removed from any of that that I wasn't sure if I had to say yes. I did anyway, because I'm not in the mood. But huh.
Well, it just involves climbing out the bedroom window onto the porch roof.
ION, my city's politics are INSANE. Police commissioner put up a yard sign for the candidate challenging the State's Attorney, and she's going for broke, questioning his credibility and all this other crap AS State's Attorney. Which I think is a misuse of her office. Anyway, don't think she's looking good at all in this. He's made some comments critical of the relationship between police and the SA office, but this shit is wild.
FTR, I want to be EThom when I grow up.
She's the bomb. I wish I could aspire to Emma Thomson-ness
Emma is probably my most-loved actress in the whole world.
I've had good luck finding thrift finds at stores affiliated with specific charities. Couple weeks ago I was poking around Fillmore with Jen K. and Emmett and I dragged them into the little thrift that benefits the SF Symphony and they had great stuff at good prices. I got two really nice silk ties (one of them from the Frank Lloyd Wright series that I love) for just $5. One for me and one for Emmett.
Right nearby are two other thrifts linked to local Catholic schools, which is where the rich people send their kids in SF. So there's lots of rich-person leftovers like fancy scarves, ties and costume jewelry.
I've also found a good one in the East Bay affiliated with a hospital and got a great pair of vintage men's shoes (with perfs and everything) in my size for just $8. Also a cool mod scarf, and a dress for JZ. Every clothing item in that store is $4.50, except for some fancy dresses. So you can get a suit there for $9.

Guess what showed up in my mail box today? The current assembly of nail polish exchange items!! Do I go through them now or wait for Kelly to come home?
