I'm with Fred re: Target. I'd like to see them take back the money or give more to the other side if they can't (more, on the thinking that the same amount would be to equalize things, and then some). Without that, it's apology as in "gosh, we didn't mean to offend you."

In happier cereal, Go Go Justice Kagan!
In 2008 (I think) Target's overall donations to democratic causes was about 6% higher than their donations to republican ones. Which isn't at all this year, but it seems that historically, they do seem to try to make things even between the parties.
I'm sort of amazed at how little drama was involved in Kagan's confirmation. There's elections coming up and everything. I figured there would be a lot of grandstanding even if it wasn't really much about Kagan.

I read that the NRA opposed her but didn't want to make a big deal of it because they knew she'd be confirmed anyway and the NRA didn't want to make themselves appear weak.
I don't know what I think about her as a *judge* but I'd have a drink with her. Also, Marshall thought she was awesome(and I heart him) and I think I read that Stevens considered her a decent choice. If the wingers hate her that much, there is something good about this person. (That's how I found KO, too. Wanting to see the "sportscaster O'Reilly hates." because, okay, sports? Really? But with an enemy like BillO, it's gotta be good.O'Reilly is like my anti-Smuckers.
For Hec: Airships: a second age
They were once the future of travel. Now, more than 70 years after the Hindenburg crash, engineers are designing a new fleet of airships
Note: it's "core tenets" not "core tenants" and it's "NAS" not "NAZ". Just FYI. Throwing that out there. To, you know, people that never made that mistake.
eta: Also, Inception? Get out of my head. Because this thread title keeps putting it back in.
Pedantic of me, but . . . She becomes Justice Kagan only after she's sworn both the Judicial and Constitutional oaths. I just had to answer this question.
