I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

There's at least one CO town on a major cross-country bike route that just banned bikes. I hear a town in another state in the Midwest is trying to follow suit. [link]

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Yay!

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Awesome! God seeing all those happy people is making me tear up. I can't understand how anyone could be indifferent to those faces.

A quote from the decision:

Proposition 8 fails to advance any rational basis in singling out gay men and lesbians for denial of a marriage license. Indeed the evidence shows Proposition 8 does nothing more than enshrine in the California constitution the notion that opposite sex couples are superior to same sex couples.

more:

Plaintiffs do not seek recognition of a new right. To characterize plaintiffs’ objective as "the right to same-sex marriage" would suggest that plaintiffs seek something different from what opposite-sex couples across the state enjoy —— namely, marriage. Rather, plaintiffs ask California to recognize their relationships for what they are: marriages.

What is even happening?

I don't know why I thought I could be the one breaking that news here.
