I musn't engage in the stupid, right??? I just saw this exchange between two of my FB friends:
Hey, had to share this laugh with you... so your son and my daughter were "in charge" of NAAPID day at school, and your son said, "My mom says why can't we have WAPID day?". I have said the same thing SO many times! I laughed when my daughter said she told him, "My mom says that too". I can just hear that conversation now. They were walking down the hall talking about us. Who knows who overheard them. ha ha ha!
Sometimes, I hate the people I know. Specially when one of them is a sort-of cousin and the other is a really sweet woman that I like. Sigh. I so desperately want to pick a fight about this.
Here is my cunning plan:
1: Build an igloo.
2: Put a space heater in it.
3: Nap!

Aims, I had to google 'NAAPID'. Ugh.
NAAPID = National African American Parent Involvement Day. It's held in February of each year since 1997 (?) to encourage African American parents to get involved in their children's schools for one day. ALL parents are invited to participate and there's usually programming and such one evening for the parents that work but still want to be involved.
WAPID would be White American Parent Involvement Day.
What's NAAPID?

We got hardly any snow - okay - maybe 4 or 5 inches. I wonder when they cancelled our Winter Storm Warning? (It was windy - there were these little sculpted drifts everywhere.)
