Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

then woman-on-woman violence is no joke either

Violence, period. It's not like it had me standing up and cheering, nor would I have if it had been a woman beating a man. Just that it's not a feminist issue, exactly, if it's not...or maybe it's still a feminist issue if it's a woman being beaten--it's just a different issue.

That having been said, it's a great song to hit shit to.

And that having been said, the Usher and JT I like, I really really like. But I don't have an extensive knowledge of either of their repertoires.

Not to confuse it with the JJ/JT debacle, but I think what Kanye did was, as my mother would say, showing his underpinnings outta doors. I think he deserves pretty much all the mocking and censure he gets. He's a cloddish buffoon, and I laugh that he yammered himself out of a Grammy invite. I just don't think that Taylor Swift deserves that much sympathy. She wasn't scarred.

I wish I could click on that Catherine Tate-ish link.

Always Anti-fascist!

Thanks, Trudy. I love Pink, too. I saw her crazy circus concert in Australia(well, on TV) She is crazy-flexible...it's kind of fascinating. And, by fascinating,I kind of mean porn. Though I'm not usually into other blondes.ETA: Kanye totally acted like a dick, but they reported it like he puked on her then exposed himself, at which point I felt a little bad for him, despite the etiquette fail. When I actually saw it later, I was caught between "What a tool," and "That's it?!"(Not all that unusual for a Piven fan.)

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Taylor Lautner's opening monologue on SNL about Kanyegate was pretty funny. [link]

AND he'll be 18 in a matter of weeks!

Taylor Lautner plays opposite Taylor Swift in Valentine's Day. Modern naming fail.

Our wings are not tired.

I've come to learn that Joe has a THING for very tall women of a certain age. His top 3 celebrity crushes are Jane Kaczmarez, Allison Janney, and Felicity Huffman.

He also, it seems, has a crush on Aaron Sorkin and Linwood Boomer, because a lot of the reason we love these women is they've played extremely-well written and verbose characters.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

32 yo black male rapper interrupts 19 yo blonde white country singer, and you don't think it factors in? I think the "average viewing public" and especially Taylor Swift fans were unaware of Kanye's previous shenanigans, and may not have been familiar with him at all.

That is genius.

Oh, man, we made a whole list of paper titles on the way back from a TV/Gender conference in Williamsburg (keynote speaker - Jane Espenson!). They were awesome. I still have the list at home but I don't remember any of the other ones.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Wow. I suddenly have respect for a guy I didn't give a shit about five minutes ago.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Taylor Lautner plays opposite Taylor Swift in Valentine's Day. Modern naming fail.

You know they were dating at the time, right?

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Who? I have no interest in Taylor Lautner.

::plays SNL vid::

I have no interest in Taylor Lautner.

I have... no... interest in... wait, lemme run that back... did he really do that?

I can't possibly explain why that grosses me out, but it sure does.

Can't watch that clip from here, but it would be nice if he has a brain. My estimation of Pattinson went up when I read his character analysis of Edward. I notice he was nominated for a Razzie.

I vote for more infants with brains.

Didn't manage to score a massage. They didn't have very many slots, and they disappeared right quick. I should have gone on a hunt for more champagne.

I hear there's lunch being given out, but I'm scared that's where the games are, so I'm not going looking.
