I read the article pretty fast, and to be fair to the article, it only says he was from Salon, not that the TVT founders created b.org, like I initially thought. So a little less outrageous.
Eta: Yeah, if people want to talk about this in bureau, not that I'm saying there's lots to say, we can move it there.
Oh hell, I'm id#4, and I sure as hell had nothing to do with "founding" this community, other than sending occasional $ to Jesse and um...being a verb? Posting since 1999?

Actually, id #1 is a super user account. (i.e. all-powerful.) It's what a stompy would use when regular stompy powers are not enough.
I didn't do it! None of it! Gus started TV Tropes all by himself. People might have done some heavy lifting later, but he started it himself, IIRC. Got contributions from folks here. I'm pretty sure I did some typing.

I wrote up the initial entries for MASH and Magnum, PI for the tropes site. Most of my stuff is still there, surprisingly enough.
