Angel: Is that what you think you are--a hero? Spike: Saved the world didn't I? Angel: Once. Talk to me after you've done it a couple more times.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I didn't do it! None of it! Gus started TV Tropes all by himself. People might have done some heavy lifting later, but he started it himself, IIRC. Got contributions from folks here. I'm pretty sure I did some typing.

I'm totally traumatised by that article. In so many ways.

Yeah, I'm #2, and lori is #3. She's sneaky fast. I'm just sneaky.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Eta: Yeah, if people want to talk about this in bureau, not that I'm saying there's lots to say, we can move it there.

Unless there is something to propose, isn't it more appropriate here?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

(Was joke. Carry on.)

I edited for context. Sorry.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I don't know! I don't know if Gus is a sore spot still.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I wrote up the initial entries for MASH and Magnum, PI for the tropes site. Most of my stuff is still there, surprisingly enough.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I don't remember the creation of TV Tropes involving any other buffista, certainly not two more who had known Gus for decades, and who were there since Salon. The whole story is false, I'm saying.

I'm pretty sure I'm burned out on Gus-related drama still.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

...I don't get it. Why? I mean...how do women access a submarine different from men? Or is it that the men on a submarine don't ...have a bathroom with a door? I'm assuming they have at least one regular toilet that is not a urinal, since men have to shit too. So, that's out. Showers? Only one shower...area? They can't just say "OK, the girl is in the shower now, wait til she's out"? Do the men all sleep in one bunk area? And so they'll have to give women and men space to change clothes? ...I'm really failing to see how this rises to the level of "numerous". Or maybe I'm just assuming that men and women can work together and deal with the differences in their bodies for a little while without freaking out, by being adults. Maybe. Um. ?

They have to put those "whitehouses" in the bathrooms? They take up space. Space is precious on submarines, there may not be room for menstruation.

Heh. Yeah. It was just "Gus" although I know that Sean and I were also admins there when it started up.
