Mal: Well, look at this! Appears we got here just in the nick of time. What does that make us? Zoe: Big damn heroes, sir.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, Amy, my cartilidge piercing hurt for a looong time.

Now I know to go needle if I ever get the third one done like I've been kinda meaning to.

Your third ear?!?!?

Phew, Sophia.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Libkitty, that's awful. I wish you all the strength in an impossible situation.

Yeah, I take my jewelry off when I come home too. Except the sleepers. For a while I was leaving thread earrings in my main 5 ear piercings, but they started knotting. But they were the only earrings comfortable enough to lie down in. And I lie down a lot at home.

I love jewelry shopping at etsy and uncommongoods.com. My two web go to places. There was also somewhere that sold silver jewelry with cheap gems for the price of shipping but I can't remember the URL. They were sometimes good for $6.

YES JESSE THIRD EAR.

Third cartilage piercing, der. Which would bring that ear up to 7. And full done. Just one on the other side. Not sure why.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Sophia, things sound good with your boss, despite the mis-reading of each other. That's great to hear.

I wear necklaces probably a couple or three days a week.

I wear a necklace every day; I vary between 3 or 4 and swap pendants back and forth on the short chain all the time.

I wear 3 rings every day -- an old silver (or white gold) filigree ring with a ruby that was my grandma's, a silver ring with a solitaire amythst (that can't be the right spelling) cut as a hexagon, and a silver band that's just Celtic knotwork all around.

I fell out of wearing earrings when one piercing got infected, and I haven't worn earrings in a long time. I used to wear them every day without fail.

I never wear any jewelry to sleep or in the shower, though.

Except in Nepal and a rare few other occasions, I never buy my own earrings. My parents do (in Nepal, I only bought them because I knew my mom wasn't into the whole crazy bargaining/tea/chat thing that happened with shopping there, and damnit if I was going to leave there without local jewelry!) With the exceptions of the Nepal ones, if they weren't from my parents, I don't wear them much at all. They share my taste in earrings 99% of the time, so it's a nice situation.

It's my brother's 31st today. I should call him!
