I always sleep in whatever earrings are in my second lobe piercing -- usually small hoops or studs. Those just stay in forever until I change them. Everything else comes off at home.

I used to have seven holes. One closed up in high school, and the remaining six were active as of five or so years ago, but I'm not sure if I can get the upper pair open now, the middle pair maybe if I'm lucky, and I know the bottom pair is open, but earrings make them angry sometimes.
I wear diamonds. But almost exclusively in vintage rings. I used to wear garnets all the time. Not sure why I don't wear 'em as much now.

I have 6 piercings in one ear and 3 in the other. Since I started karate and had to take them out for each session, I have stopped wearing anything but in the bottom holes.
After all the talk here, I stopped by my jewelry store today and talked with the jeweler about resetting my diamonds into a white gold ring. My "divorce ring" will cost me about $500, but I'm going to wait until after the 1st of the year to have it done.
