I drove by a local bookstore that was advertising a Sarah Palin signing on Sunday. Oy
Picket it with pictures of her with a Hitler moustache.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

MOMA is a good idea. Maybe a treat at a local cafe too.
Last year all the Little League Coaches got a seminar on pre-practice workouts and they emphasized that static stretching was only for cooling off afterwards, that they wanted us to get everybody moving beforehand: run laps, do duck walks and walking leg kicks.

Sorry, unrelated pedantry shout-out.
Which, BTW, I heard a reporter on NPR say "GPS system" yesterday! Oh, NPR. Please don't start talking like I do.

Yeah, I don't know why but "walking leg kicks" conjures the image to my mind, but it's still not accurate. You're walking and with each step you kick your extended leg as high as you can until it touches your outstretched hand. Regular old kicks just makes me think of side-kicks, or soccer kicking.
Anyway, the effect is like a cross between aerobic Frankenstein and John Cleese. In fact, I called our pre-practice workouts "The Ministry of Silly Walks" and the players duck walked from home to first, then did a side-step crossover to second, then a side ways jumping jack to go from second to third, and the high kicking walk from third to home.

That's fantastic.
