Pears are very good. Especially with oatmeal, butter, sugar and cinnamon, baked in an oven for half an hour.

They have all sorts of pears. Some are tangy, some are sweet, some are hard, some are soft. I can't keep track of which ones I like the most. All I know is that the Harry and David pear I had a couple years ago was heavenly.

Mission Pie has a Shaker lemon pie. It's very lemon-y, with the peel and everything. I have not had it, but...hey, they also had a pear-ginger pie! Which my friend had! While I went for apple-rhubarb! I'm glad I LJ all these details.
