[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

He's a mathematician?

You sure B wasn't too generous?

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Well, it's better than last year, when a student emailed me five times to ask me to raise her grade from an A- to an A. She didn't actually have any argument for why she deserved a higher grade than her average gave her, but she just kept asking, even though I said no every time.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Mom and I are having a girl's only Mother's Day weekend, and I am heading to bed now not remembering the last time I went to bed without TCG next to me. It's weird.

"already on the kiss-cam with Karl Marx"-

"Because I'm the teacher; that's why." Mostly, not an acceptable answer. But it's a non-legitimate question. I've made my first post to a fic community in two years now. LJ people will probably be calling me insane and majorly vulgar this time tomorrow. But, God, everything out of Gold's mouth would get cited by the FCC...I guess I don't have to be so good at imitating it, but that's why I laughed so hard when Obama said that Rahm Emanuel has trouble with Mother's Day, cause "Day," isn't Rahm's first thought after "mother.'

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Star Trek is available in IMAX

It is! I'm going next weekend! (There's an IMAX a bus ride away from me.)

This weekend is work time. Which is obviously why I'm watching TV and playing computer games...

Mostly lurking...

Dear ebay bidder,

My auctions clearly show that I only ship in the United States. It is stupid of you to bid THEN ask if I'll consider shipping to Brazil (at the same time as asking me to track down more of the fabric to send you!!!!). When I say no, then you e-mail me back essentially saying, "Pretty please!" and I don't respond, you should take the hint, not send another e-mail with "?????????????" That does not help your case.

No love,

vw

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Star Trek is available in IMAX

I saw it in IMAX on Thursday, but I really wouldn't recommend it unless you're going to sit in the back row--there's too much frenetic energy going on in the action sequences to figure out what the hell is going on when the film is right in your face. I'll be seeing it again soon on a regular screen and I'm hoping I won't be so dizzy afterwards.

Also, lots of shaky-cam filming, which doesn't work on the IMAX screen.
