Star Trek is available in IMAX
I saw it in IMAX on Thursday, but I really wouldn't recommend it unless you're going to sit in the back row--there's too much frenetic energy going on in the action sequences to figure out what the hell is going on when the film is right in your face. I'll be seeing it again soon on a regular screen and I'm hoping I won't be so dizzy afterwards.
Also, lots of shaky-cam filming, which doesn't work on the IMAX screen.
I ended up sitting way further back than I usually do, also for an IMAX showing, and it was fantastic. I did find myself thinking that sitting closer would have been problematic.
Happy Mother's Day to all moms and soon to be moms! And a few thoughts also to those for whom this is a bittersweet, or just a bitter, day.
I got a rose at church which Frisco then used to hit me on the head a few times and wave around and hit his sister. How fitting, right?
