[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Intriguing!

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I have been contemplating learning how to use a blender lately, but I don't want to do it while recovering from surgery.

Has the oral surgeon told you what to expect? Because recovery from wisdom teeth extraction is no big thing that's going to derail your life.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Polter-Cow, I support the slim-fast idea! Add some higher calorie food into the general mix to keep your strength up. I am always in favour of chocolate milk. Ice cream also good. (And I've just read that you stocked up on all those things and more, so never mind - you'll be fine.)

Deena, I hope everything goes OK with your husband's job.

Health food shops are great for wheat replacements. I don't have celiac, but wheat gives me migraine - these days I like the rice/millet/corn mix pasta more than the regular stuff. Oooh and the rice flour lemon cake you can get my local health food shop is to die for... Hmm. I'd say it was time for a visit to the high street, but it's back in London and I'm up at uni. I wonder if the lemon cake is worth the four hour drive. It's not outside the bounds of possibility.

An almost-all-food post. This is what dieting does to you.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Deena!!! Also {{{Deena}}}!

Morning. Gronk.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Question to dress-making people:

So, if a person wanted to make a backless dress with a built-in bra, using a bra they happen to have to hand (which is suitable to the purpose) then...that should be a doable thing, right?

(When I say "make", here, I should clarify that I actually mean "ask the tailor to make".)

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

I second that gronk. {{GC}}

I saw a few days ago that your spouse had a meeting of some sort that made her nervous, but I somehow missed how it went. Is all well there?

Mostly lurking...

and found out the hard way at a party vw was throwing that not all blenders come apart the same way. Oops. And sorry again about the mess.

Poor frank was so traumatized by this event, and I just so didn't even care. It was REALLY not a big deal. I mean, he was making margaritas! Would could possibly be wrong with that? It took one little twist and all was better. We still had margaritas, so I put it in the win pile!

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I'd say "no" to Slimfast. It tastes like ass.

Everyone was telling me horror stories!! I don't know what to expect. He told me to stock up on everything beforehand so I wouldn't have to deal with shopping after the surgery. He said I'd be sore for a few days and I'd have to wash my mouth out after everything I ate and all that. I'm probably making it out to be worse than it will be, I hope.

I'd say "no" to Slimfast. It tastes like ass.

Yeah, I don't know how chocolate-y Rich Chocolate Royale will actually taste.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Wisdom tooth (teeth) extraction doesn't have to be a major trauma. If the teeth are badly impacted it will be worse, but if they've erupted it's not so bad. I had all four fully erupted teeth extracted at once and I was OK to have lunch with friends (soft food, but not soup). My sister had a bad experience, but she had badly impacted teeth and had a reaction to the anaesthetic. So ... YExtractionMV.
