Hooray for Deena sighting!

TOTALLY. Also, selfishly, it definitely improved my mood knowing you were having a great day.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

OK, I sent a very politely worded and clear explanation the the Dean of the education school of the procedural irregularities that I believe caused me to fail the comp exam.
Hopefully it will do some good. OK, I gotta put this behind me and focus on studying for my exam tonight.
Hi Deena! It's good to hear from you again. Thank you for your kind words. I'm sorry to hear you're having some trouble in your neck of the woods.
Does Nick also have celiac, or am I imagining that?
I know I'm not Deena, but yeah, he does.

Thank you, honey. I'm glad. I'm just SO angry on your behalf!
Deeena!!!!!

I am exhausted this morning. I haven't been sleeping well in weeks and it's just wearing on me.
And, the job interview I was supposed to have yesterday got postponed due to swine flu. So that was a bummer, too. But, the CDC changed its guidelines and the school can re-open today, so I'm hoping to hear from them in the next few days about when we can reschedule.
Catching up....
congrats to billytea and family

And to P_C - a little late now but my favoratist smoothie recipe when i don't feel like chewing (or when it is super hot out) is Spirutein vanilla flavor with orange juice and frozen berries, blended up. Delicious and full of nummy nutrients from the Spirutien powder. Just drink it out of an opaque cup if you don't add the berries, as it has a tendency to turn green if you let it sit too long and that wierds me out.
I love you guys.
Yes, Nick has Celiac. I gave him the recipe books when he moved out. It's been 3 years since I had to think about wheat, but I think I can do it again. I would love to pick your sister's brain for recipes, though, Sparky.
The car thing has been a comedy. The car dies. We bus for a couple of weeks. Greg buys one of those granny carts to get groceries home. Kara ends up homeschooling the rest of the year. We manage. My fil finds out we're carless and loans us an old one of his that, he says, has expired tags. Greg takes off the old license plate, gets a temp tag, and then stuff happens and we don't get it inspected, so he has to get another temp tag, which expires tomorrow, and stuff happens, and I finally say I'm taking it to be inspected today. I get the registration out of the papers Greg's dad gave him and find that the old ones weren't expired. Greg checks the old plates, still in the trunk, and tada! Not expired. That means saving $50.00 until September. We are happy again.
Nora, I'm really impressed with you. I hope they revisit the issue and you get to walk.
{{Deena}} Hooray for not yet expired car tags! Also, I am sorry about Greg's job stuff.
Miss you!
Deena, there is a natural store near me with quite a few gluten free baking mixes. Let me know if I can send any to you. Also, Deena!
Greg's job stuff is a little scary. The pay cut came with an insurance benefits cut. We don't know what, exactly, that will mean to the paycheck until payday, which is Friday. Then in June they'll be looking at the budget and the staff again, and possibly laying people off, and they warned everyone that it wasn't going to be last hired first fired, but would depend on how critical people were. Greg does a lot of reader advisory stuff, and he's taught a bunch of the librarians how to blog, but I don't know how important they think that is. Fiction doesn't move as well as non-fiction, and horror isn't the first thing most people go to the library for. We'll be okay, though, one way or another.
