Just got an email from the department chair, saying that, if students want to take a final exam early because their parents want them to come home to escape the swine flu, our answer should be no.
I can't say I understand this. Most parents would prefer their kids being healthy and miss an exam, even if that's irrational panic, no?

I've got no idea what the reasoning is. I think it's that they want to keep down panic. The university says that no one here is contagious anymore.

Ugg. I gotta go to work. So much for a weekend off. The Stage Manager asked my mixer to turn UP the piano in the monitors. A LOT. Then, has the nerve to FLIP OUT in the performance report, saying the piano was way too loud. And not mentioning her note to turn up said piano. Flippy Stage Manger + Lazy mixer = O_A not getting enough downtime during a musical... again. Strength so I don't kill anyone will not be refused.

Argh. I am all annoyed with myself. I bought a chicken last tuesday meaning to cook it that night for dinner, but I didn't, and I didn't put it in the freezer, and now I have to throw it out, don't I? Organic free-range garbage.
