Simon: Captain... why did you come back for us? Mal: You're on my crew. Simon: Yeah, but you don't even like me. Why'd you come back? Mal: You're on my crew. Why we still talking about this?

Well, there was more damage than was listed on the appraisal, so the body shop had to request a supplement from the insurance company, and they're waiting to see what insurance will pay for. Then, apparently, they're behind in the shop, so even if that comes in today, they won't get to working on putting the car back together until next week.

Now tagless for your comfort.

surgery~ma for your bro, vw.

Owen goes in for his oral surgery tomorrow and I've been worrying about it for two days. Not sure how he's going to handle the anesthesia and whether he'll be freaked out by the process. I've talked to him about it and promised him more legos as a treat (his favorite). He seems ok with that.

I'm so excited for the teabee family! Yay baby!

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Hil, I am so sorry.

My brother is getting married this summer. Before all of the health issues popped up with me, I offered to make the flower girl dresses. My brother, the awesome guy that he is, sent me an email saying, "Dude. You got a lot going on. Do you really want to be worrying about flower girl dresses?"

I feel like crap, but am trying not to. My overacheiver is having fits. We're gonna wait to find out the results of the surgery and decide then.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I cannot imagine a Mom better equiped to get him through this than you.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Two students at my university have tested positive for flu of some sort. They're doing more tests to find out whether it's swine flu or some other kind of flu. People are kind of freaking out. Those two students got moved to private rooms so that they won't spread it to their roommates. The university is starting to enforce its "no homemade food at public events" rule, which will probably screw up some bake sales. And, of course, we got all the emails about hand-washing and using tissues. (My sister said that, at her office, there is now a sign over every sink with a six-step procedure on how to wash your hands.)
