Don't bring up history, don't say anything about HIM. Make it "I'm a nervous nelly and I don't want to be worrying all the way up, so please humor your silly daughter and leave early."
Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Toddsons's right. Don't bring up the past, just emphasise how much you really want to get there.
And if you put the onus on yourself, put it as him doing something to make you less anxious, he'll be the generous one. He'll feel good about it - a nice warm glow of being a good father.
java and toddson are wise.
For anyone who remembers my mommy-van with the A's Rock license plates - it is gone. I left it with K-Bug when we moved to Colorado and the lease ends this weekend, so she just finished turning it in. All we have left are the plates, since they were personalized.
K-Bug is buying her bf's car from him since he will be shipping out to boot camp by the end of this month. Me, still don't have a car.
Man. My fears have been confirmed: my favorite morning show was fired last week. It's been so weird listening to the radio in the mornings this week. I miss them!
Who was it, P-C?
since he will be shipping out to boot camp by the end of this month
Eeep. Holy crap, and lots of good wishes to him. He's just a baby, though! What is he doing?
Who was it, P-C?
The Woody Show on Live105. Woody, Tony, and Ravey, all gone. I listened to them every morning. I met them at BFD one year. I felt like I knew them, you know?
He's just a baby, though! What is he doing?
He is a baby that is turning 21 this summer! He is going into the Navy and doing computer software engineering. I think.
All fired in one fell swoop? That's scary.
One of my morning people is gone, too, but more happily...he'd been doing a cheerfully silly themed daily top-10 playlist for years, and it got picked up for syndication by enough stations that in December he was able to buy a huge house in Michigan near his family and, basically, concentrate on making 10-song mix tapes for a very comfortable living.
I really, really miss Dave Morey. I'm glad for him, but sad for me.
