'Heart Of Gold'

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

“Not dead yet!”

The Nashville Sound (that's an actual team there)

Yeah, I'm trying to stay away from any actual current team names, even if the Sounds are Triple-A and maybe seventeen potential readers are going to know that.

I like the sound of the Nashville Cats. Shame there are already two pro teams (that I can think of) that have Panthers as their name.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

vw, that is very pretty. Even if it is not perfect, it is still a smashing success.

sj, I'm glad the wedding was nice.

The Nashville Ramblers?

They'd have a built-in fight song/cheer in "Beep Beep". [link]

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Eeep! They have no Fernet. They do have Chartreuse though, so that should be a dead giveaway that he knows who we are.

I think I like Nashville Cats best, too.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

The Nashville Cats is cool and knowing.

I also like the Ramblers.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

IIRC, he prefers Chartreuse anyway. The Fernet is just SF bartender code, really.

(Also, when I come visit? I'm bringing Fernet, dammit.)

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

The arena football team is the Nashville Kats.

I don't really get the Ramblers as a name. I think the group name probably came from association with the car.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I like The Ramblers, too. I love the idea of the bleachers erupting in cheers of "Beep beep!"

That's what I was thinking - it would be a whole Thing for the fans.

You had me at "when I come visit"

You could also name them the Nashville (something that has absolutely nothing to do with Nashville). Our Swamp Dragons moved to Frisco and became the Dragons, and the North Stars became the Stars after moving to Dallas. Dude. Two words. Utah Jazz.
