I think that graphing calculators can be great teaching tools. If I had the time to prepare a lot of my own material, I would be teaching this class with graphing calculators. However, I'm going by the curriculum set by the department, which means no calculators. I would love to put together a calculus course that did use calculators, but that would require teaching it entirely differently, and I don't have the time or the authority to make that many changes in the curriculum.
Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
They even had to change heads on bodies to do it.
No, every head kept its same body. They just took the guy second from the right and the one second from the left in the front row and moved them over, shrunk them down to be the right height to replace the women, and then removed the guy behind the guy on the left and the three men to the right of and behind the guy on the right, and then moved over the two men on the far right to cover up the gap from moving that guy over.
Wait, you're right! They didn't move over the guy on the far left, they took his head and put it on the body of the guy next to him, so that body ends up in the picture twice, once in the right position with the wrong head, and once shrunk down to cover the woman in the tan jacket, with the right head.
bonny good blood
I might just take this as my new name. I like it.
But then on the flip side there's also the K-Bug's of the world so not all college students are ignorant and entitled.
Awwww, that is nice of you to say, Brenda.
IK-BugN, she has been offered a job working Summer Orientation for new students at her college. I'm so proud of her. She is still waiting to hear about being an RA next year. She is on the "waiting list" but in past years that have ended up taking everyone who was on the wait list. Crossing my fingers for her (and me, cause that would mean free housing for her next year).
Blech. I've got a bit of a fever. Really hope this isn't a sinus infection.
Yay for all the good news here! We certainly needed it.
Also, non-sinus-infection~ma for Hil.
Something I've always suspected: The more housework you do, the less money you make [link]
each extra hour spent on daily housework reduced average wages
What's that old saw about not confusing correlation with causation?
What's that old saw about not confusing correlation with causation?
I'm just celebrating the correlation. At the moment, I am graphic proof that you can both do very little housework and simultaneously make very little money.
