Many doctors have the policy of only giving test results in person. I wouldn't take it as a definite sign of a problem.
I'm trying hard not to, but they faxed me the other test results before seeing me and without talking to me. So, I'm not feeling very hopeful.

Damn. If it was Rabbit Foot Cancer, you'd at least be filled with lots of good luck. But Monkey Foot. Hmmm.
Aims, I hope you get an answer that is the best of all possible, damn it.
Relatedly, Plei, would switching to henna improve the texture at all? Is there any natural or henna-related way to get to reddish-brown instead of red hair? My hair is short right now so it's a good time to switch hair regimes.
You can mix henna and cassia, which will dilute the effect of the henna stain, and you can also add indigo to the henna. Jilli found the indigo somewhat drying, as I recall.
The cassia (sold as "neutral" henna in health food stores) has similar benefits to the henna. The brown Light Mountain henna is a blend of henna and indigo.
henna and cassia
Humm. You remind me. I wanted to go henna-red again. But what cassia is, exactly?
A friend of mine has been saying things lately that ping me as things that someone who is depressed might say. I have begged and pleaded with her to talk to her doctor, but so far she hasn't because she is not the depressive one and she subscribes to the just push through it philosphy. She just sent me a weird text and is not answering her phone. I'm trying to decide if I should call her sister or mother and mention my concerns. If I lived anywhere near her, I would drag her down to her doctor myself.
t worried
Thank you, Plei!
I have been worrying that my hair is just getting damaged from the regular coloring. When I was younger I colored my hair every 3 or 4 months so it didn't matter. But now the color gets dingy once the greys start to show, so I color more often.
sj, if you have a relationship with the mother or sister, then you can slip your concerns into conversation just so they are aware of your perspective... however, I don't know if one can be forced into psychiatric diagnosis and treatment, if she's adamant she doesn't have a problem.
You can call her out on what you are hearing from her- be direct, maybe the lightbulb will pop on. You can tell her how uncomfortable and worried YOU are about her.
