Dawn: I thought you were adequate. Giles: And the accolades keep pouring in. I'd best take my leave before my head swells any larger. Good night.

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired.

I hope you are feeling better this morning, sj.

Good luck with the Statistics.

I'm closing my laptop and hitting the road. Planning to go about 13 hours today into NC somewhere, then another 10 or so tomorrow. Travel ~ma would be appreciated.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

So apparently I left my headlights on while I was in Boston because I came back at one in the morning to find my car completely DEAD. I called AAA and got a jump, but I don't know whether I need to replace the battery or what. The Auto function on the windows (one push up and down) isn't working, which makes me think the battery's still very low. And I don't know if it will just die on me in the morning or when I try to go home from work or whatever. Man, I don't need this. Le sigh.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Ryan was 100 days old on Saturday. This is a big celebration in Chinese culture. We went out to lunch, and got some professional photos taken. The little man seemed unimpressed with the restaurant - it was pretty noisy, and no one was willing to pitch him a dim sim - but he liked the decorations.

He has been - I mean this, I collapsed on the floor putting him to bed tonight - irresistibly cute today. I was singing him nursery rhymes, he kept trying to join in. I was about to give him a bath, had this little boy wrapped up in a towel; there's this pair of wide-open, surprised eyes peering over the edge of the towel at himself in the mirror. We put him to bed - which often involves protests and recrimination - and he's watching his Mummy and Daddy intently from his bassinette, when his face lights up in a big beaming smile.

Allow me to remind you what sort of level of cuteness we are talking about here: [link] [link] Collapsed on the floor. Wallybee had to finish tucking him in.

“Not dead yet!”

Aw, sj, feel better.

billy, I know you don't need us to remind you, but that sort of cuteness is downright lethal. World domination lethal.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Aw, billytea, I am so happy every time I read about your new and awesomely wonderful chapter in life. I remember some of your trials in tougher times and am just thrilled that you have found everything you've wanted and deserved a thousandfold.

In other words: YAY!

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

First things first: Ryan is a beautiful boy.

Second things second: Travel~ma for Laura, and getting better~ma to sj. Also, battery~ma for P-C.

Hil, listen to Shir. Shir is wise.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Thanks for the encouragement, and for the horrible joke.

Shir, I've got that comic on the bulletin board outside my office.

Today is really gross weather. Way too hot, and I've got to dress warmly because my office is air conditioned to freezing.
