The cats are onto us in regard to corralling them into the office every morning so that the construction guys don't let them out. It is getting more difficult every day to get them - in fact, Bianca (the oldest) has evaded us for 3 of the last 4 working days. I'm having PG-related insomnia, so I'm already tired and cranky when I wake in the morning and chasing cats around our dirty house really doesn't start my day on a good note.
It is really stressful and I'm starting to resent the cat and get upset with DW because I feel like she's putting the cat above me, her pregnant wife. To me, you try to get the cat. If you don't succeed, the cat stays out and you put notes on all exterior doors letting workmen know to keep doors closed as a cat is on the loose. She says they always leave the doors open and eventually the cat will get out and "will get killed." Granted, we live on a busy street, but the cat would get out into an interior hallway inside of our security building. Chances are high that it would not get out and get killed. Her solution is to keep the cats locked in the office 24/7 until the remodel is over and she will sleep on the futon in there with them, leaving me alone in our bedroom. We have at least another month of the remodel. I am just so frustrated with this stupid situation!
