But? There's always a but. When this is over, can we have a big 'but' moratorium?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

You've read "Kingdom Come", right? Where Aquaman gets his revenge on us surface-dwellers?

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Actually, Interrobang prefers ze.

Hey! That's a reason for working out and losing the ship-cycle weight! I could make a NEW Interrobang costume!

I am in awe of Miracleman's powers of procrastination.

Compassionately intolerant

I can't believe I stumbled in here to express some sweetly melancholy stuff about She-Ra, Princess of Power and you are talking about Aquaman! He's another of my faves.

She-Ra is new on Hulu. I'm currently listening to the episode about the Horde burning books. It's made of awesome.

When I was getting divorced (omg, 21 years ago!), the very best friend of my entire life found a She-Ra puzzle at a garage sale. For a month, she sent me a new piece every day in the mail. The final package was the backboard with the phrase "You are the princess of POWER" penned into the base.

I loved her so much.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

tried putting a bag of frozen peas on my panting cat. he was not amused.

found ONE cooling option that they approve of. tray filled with ice, placed in front of a fan. They deigned to sit in the path of the cooler air, and occasionally got interested in the ice cubes scooting around on the tray.

They both got baths last night anyways. The panting was replaced by hours of frantic grooming and angry glares.

6 page double spaced MLA style on "whatever I want", but it has to be something I have an opinion on and feel like arguing for/against.
I'm not going to jump into the fray of which Justice League member rocks/should be under rocks. But maybe some suggestions that could actually generate 6 pages+.

  • Something that would require some local research that would benefit Em. Compare/contrast local schools? The benefit/detriment of public/private schools?

  • Legalizing Pot. the state gets taxes, and 7-11's sell junk food at a much higher rate. Save money on "war on drugs". Must set up more rehab centers. Could involve some lovely research.

  • Legalize prostitution.

  • Rise of gangs in America. Why do they grow. What can be done to curtail their recruitment. What needs doing to keep your kid from wanting to join.

  • the pro/con of consumption based billing for broadband

  • capitalism vs socialism. Are we really the leaders of the free world? When China holds us by the purse strings, controlling our drug (cheap products) and then lending us the money to buy said drug? you could start with Sun Tsu quote about "the best battle is one where you don't have to fire a shot to win".

OK, so they might be big topics that would be more thesis based. Some ideas.

(why yes, I am procrastinating. Why do you ask?)

Or something like "Why cellular plans cost so freaking much in America," or "Why the Obama Adminstration is hiring Goldman-Sachs lifers to fill all the positions making financial policy" or "Is it socially acceptable to call yourself a gamer in public?"

Or, you know, compare and contract He-Man and Beowulf.
