Anything's better with cheese!
Everything except Chinese food. PF Chang's is doing some quesadilla thing these days and it is so wrong.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Urk. Yeah, that does NOT sound right.
My health-conscious former coworker swore to me that the nutrients in broccoli were actually better absorbed if you ate some fat with it, like cheese or butter.
D loves it. Probably because it's unlike anything else they have (he works there). I took one bite and I was done.

Ooh I hope that's true.

I've heard the same thing. I made sure to sprinkle some shredded cheese on the florettes during the last minute in the microwave.
You know those frozen boxes of broccoli with the longer stems? I like the stems in those. But these fresh ones were too tough. Maybe next time I'll peel them as Vortex does.
Searching for the truth about broccoli I found this. I know it's a publicity stunt but wow did it make my allergies act up.
Peeling the stems makes all the difference. I like them.
Ew. Broccoli with cheese! Lightly steamed, please, and *plain*, suits me just fine.
I love cheese, don't get me wrong - yes, LactoseIntolerantBoy love fondue. Just...not on BROCCOLI.
Y'all are CRAZY.
That is on fact true. Carotinoids (the good stuff in broccoli and carrots and tomatoes etc) are fat-soluble, not water-soluble. So if you don't eat them with a bit of fat (olive oil is best) you don't get the good stuff.
Signed, knows this stuff and lives on doughnuts anyway
