Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

the new brace is very itchy.

Can you wear something under it? When I had a brace for my wrist, they gave me these really, really thin things to wear under it that were basically arm-warmers (in spirit, if not in practice).

watching "Enron: Smartest Guys In The Room". I was in CA during the rolling blackouts. This, to me, proves why utilities can't be privately held, and the "deregulation" is a blatant example how unbridled Capitalism fails.

Can you wear something under it?

That's an idea. I have some gauze-like tubes used as part of wrapping my right arm. Yes, with the compression sleeve on my right arm for the lymphedema and the black brace on my left arm, I'm pretty conspicuous. I suspect the repetitious movement that brought this on was pulling up my compression sleeve, which I see as further support for the idea that, if there is a god, he's pointing at me and laughing.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Cass, love, see a bloody dr already.

Appointment is in an hour. I've been chastised. Generally deservedly.

Was in a car accident last week and, to be fair, I had no clue I'd been concussed for a few days. If I'd had a time machine, I'd have gone immediately because, even for me, concussions means Really, Go To the Hospital Now.

Other than that, I am just banged up.

Will come back to hopefully report that brains are just spicy and not scrambled later.

I do not know where it went, but somehow, today, I've seemed to lost all motivation to do any work. Does anyone know where I left it?

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

It's not over here, omnis. There's a Doctor Who marathon on Syfy.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

I wear wrist braces when sleeping, and use old socks with the toes cut off and a small hole in the heel for thumb-peek-thru effect. Keeps the brace from getting stinky and needing to be washed as often. Obviously, thin and smooth socks are better for this job.

eta: the modified sock goes btwn brace and skin, in case that wasn't clear.

I am now taking bets on how early i can get to bed tonight. (just bed, not sleep, that's far too difficult to predict, esp in this heat.)

I SHOULD be in bed by 6pm. I NEED to be in bed by 8. I'm honestly wondering if i can manage to climb into bed before dusk. Already turned on the AC as there is zero chance of falling asleep without night or cool air.

Pete, can you make a trip to e_o's place with a big wooden mallet? Sounds like she could use some help there.
