and then - not Gaelic- there's the singer Sade...
Random aside: on of my favorite used record stores used to have jokey comments on the boards they used to separate artists from each other in the bins (this would be vinyl records). Aside from "Tom Waits (for no man)", my favorite was always "Slade (pronounced 'Shlar-day')".
That's pretty awesome.
So...does anyone know anything about non-profits? I'm apparently on a panel tomorrow in DC [link]

My understanding of the plastics in the microwave problem was not that it caused cancer, but that some plastics like bpA can interfere with hormonal regulation and build up in wee bodies (yes, my main concern w/r/t microwaving plastic was baby bottles). But now I am wondering where Snopes comes down on the bpA debate. I think I'll look it up.

Yeah, I was going to do it anyway, just wondered if I'd be shortening my life span. Plus, if I still lived in my old apartment with no dishwasher, no power in the 'verse could have gotten me to dirty an extra dish.
Raq, I work for a non-profit, if that helps you any. Have now for about all my post-college life.
ION, what is with 9-9-09 and the Beatles. First Rock Band, now it seems they are also releasing box sets of digitally remastered albums. A mono version (10 discs) and a stereo version (14 discs). Looks like September is going to see about $500 spent on Beatles.
I simply adore the photo of Matilda and Emmett. Such photos are guaranteed to improve the quality of my life on any given day. The thought of so much sibling love and joy is... very healing.

Just got back from taking Harvey to the vet for his annual shots. Aside from the heart-rending crying, there were no problems.
