Death is your art. You make it with your hands day after day. That final gasp, that look of peace. And part of you is desperate to know: What's it like? Where does it lead you? And now you see, that's the secret. Not the punch you didn't throw or the kicks you didn't land. She really wanted it. Every Slayer has a death wish. Even you.

Spike ,'Conversations with Dead People'

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

DO YOU PEOPLE NOT KNOW ME AT ALL???? I AM AN ASS HOLE WHEN SOMETHING BUGS ME AND I CANNOT SHUT UP UNTIL I NEED TO WALK THE DOG OR SOMETHING

Yes. This is why we try to keep you away from Salon letters. Because it ends badly for everyone. Thank fuck for clafoutis.

Because it ends badly for everyone.

It keeps certain Partners in a certain Firm alive. That's good, right?

Not giant anymore. And I hope I cooked it long enough -- I went slightly over-time even, but the middle is sort of popped-bubble looking instead of browned.

On the logic that slightly underdone is more edible than overdone I erred on the side of popped bubbles.

Just watched Justice League: New Frontier, AIFG!

But, at the risk of losing geek house points, I don't recall the Martian Manhunter.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

He's been around, but never was as big as most of the other characters. Never encountered him except as minor character in Justice leage and Sandman, so don't really know back story, other than that his name is literally accurate. And his secret identity is as a cop. Don't how how he makes himself human looking. Portable holograph generator?

What? I blame my brother. He's 5 years older, and was TOTALLY into the comics. Mom BANISHED them from the house. So I never had any growing up as a kid. The few I got to borrow from my bro, had me all idol eyed for Green Lantern.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

I am housesitting/catsitting for a (fellow geek) friend this week. She has way too many cool DVDs. I am supposed to be working on a dissertation. What's a girl to do?

Also. A week of cats! Wheeee! (My OH is allergic. I am seriously missing out.)
