Mal: Cut it out. Job's not done until we're back on Serenity. Zoe: Sorry, sir. Didn't mean to enjoy the moment.

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Just watched Justice League: New Frontier, AIFG!

But, at the risk of losing geek house points, I don't recall the Martian Manhunter.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

He's been around, but never was as big as most of the other characters. Never encountered him except as minor character in Justice leage and Sandman, so don't really know back story, other than that his name is literally accurate. And his secret identity is as a cop. Don't how how he makes himself human looking. Portable holograph generator?

What? I blame my brother. He's 5 years older, and was TOTALLY into the comics. Mom BANISHED them from the house. So I never had any growing up as a kid. The few I got to borrow from my bro, had me all idol eyed for Green Lantern.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

I am housesitting/catsitting for a (fellow geek) friend this week. She has way too many cool DVDs. I am supposed to be working on a dissertation. What's a girl to do?

Also. A week of cats! Wheeee! (My OH is allergic. I am seriously missing out.)

Because we are using one in the show I'm working on, I have decided that I need a collapsable silk top hat. However, they run about $400, so now I am sad.

J'onn J'onzz! He was in the original Justice League of my youth. (I have tried to understand what has happened to the DC-verse, but it makes my head hurt.) I think his name may have been one of the earlier appearances of the apostrophe'd alien name.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Letter to the editor in this month's VegNews Magazine. It took me two reads to convince myself it was serious. I sort of remember the article it's in response to -- it was a cute little article about a couple who met while working on an animal rights campaign, I think.

I love, love, love your wonderful magazine. However, after reading "Love and Laughter in LA" in the March+April 2009 issue, I was disappointed and felt a bit dissed. What did that article have to do with animal rights or veganism? Then it dawned on me: it had really nothing to do with those issues, but rahter the fact that these women had started a wonderful gay relationship. I am a conservative Republican and although I do not have negative feelings toward gay people, I do not read your magazine to learn about wonderful romantic happy endings to their life stories. I will continue to read your magazine because I do love it. I think, though, that you need to open your mind a bit.

After reading that several times, I am still blinking at the last sentence.
