Can't drink, smoke, diddle my willy. Doesn't leave much to do other than watch you blokes stumble around playing Agatha Christie.

Spike ,'The Cautionary Tale of Numero Cinco'

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Emeline desperately wants stripy tights, I have not been siccessful in finding good quality ones around here.

We stock up when Hanna Andersson puts out their Halloween wear. Get the size she's in and the next size up in triplicated. It's a little costly, but she wears each pair for at least a year (they're sized to fit two ranges). And then if there are more at the outlet, we pick those up, too.

(from memory. might be off a touch.)

Boo-ya! One of my best memories is a bunch of us drunkenly reciting it at Hec and JZ's wedding.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Those who worship Evil's might

Do people actually do that?

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

They might.

move out and draw fire

Emmett has become obsessed with getting replicas of the Three Elven Rings. I'm seeing some dodgy looking near-misses out there. Which ones are the best? (most accurate to the movie/prettiest)

Hec, while I like SH's rec, The Noble Collection has the movie licensing [link]

re Geeksprog: I'm not doing so well. Mal can chapter-and-verse Star Wars, and has named his plastic dagger "Sting."

But the other day he asked me if, along with Robin and Alfred, "Calverine" lives with Batman. Further inquiry revealed that Calverine is the X-Man who has knives that come out of his fists like claws.

So my four-year-old is writing DC/Marvel crossover slashfic.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

So my four-year-old is writing DC/Marvel crossover slashfic.

I'm admittedly coming at this from the outside, but the really disturbing part is where he's managed to work cattle into the thing.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Calverine is the X-Man who has knives that come out of his fists like claws.

Now I'm picturing Calvin as Wolverine a la his Spaceman Spiff fantasies.

Does he have a stuffed tiger he calls Hobbes?

Ah, I'd forgotten about them. (Pricey, so I tend to look away in silent fury.) Their Nenya is indeed pretty.

Yikes Narya's price, though. And no Vilya. Pity.
