Inara: So. Would you like to lecture me on the wickedness of my ways? Book: I brought you some supper, but if you'd prefer a lecture, I've a few very catchy ones prepped. Sin and hellfire... one has lepers.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

{{Anne}} I hope today is good to you.

GC! Baby Glamboy! Woo-hoo!

I am Burrell w/r/t the amnio - it was really helpful for me to get those results back and let those worries go. My high-risk doctor who did the procedure was fabulous, so it was an all around good experience. (Except for my DH, who felt faint and had to put his head between his knees. I was surprised he made it through my c-section, especially when he announced that he'd seen my insides.)

I remembered to bring everything to work today except for the thumb drive that has the actual things I've been working on. Oops.

FWIW, my amnio was easy and positive (and was conducted in German rather than Greek, so I could understand what was going on). It was just the drama surrounding it that was hellish, but I'm hoping you aren't relying on a Dr. Dobson disciple who believes amnios are tantamount to abortion for a ride to and from the hospital.

It was totally my decision to hold off. We went in prepared to do the amnio, but as the dr. was checking and double-checking everything during the u/s and saying perfect, perfect, perfect, I just felt like it wasn't the right time. We're doing another screen to see what the numbers say. I was surprisingly way more emotional about it all than I thought I would be - it just didn't feel right to me. The dr. supported my decision (and DW agreed as well). If the next numbers come back low again, we'll do the amnio, but dr. said he'll be shocked if they do. All three of us felt like there was a perfectly healthy little dude in there.

Also, {{{Anne}}}

Shit's all sorts of different now.

IME, so much of what you do or don't do during pregnancy relies so much on instinct and whether or not it feels right. I'm glad you were able to tell your doc that it wasn't the right time and that he supported your decision. Yay good docs!!

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

::kermitwaves to perfectly healthy little dude::

Cookie, since we're looking at a boy do you think you'll go Bad Badz Maru? Dear Daniel? Or boldly give him a nice pink Hello Kitty nursery?

A few years ago Sanrio had a purple gingham/bee theme going. It was magnificient. [link]

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

All three of us felt like there was a perfectly healthy little dude in there.

That's so good to hear - really fantastic!

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Ya! The words "Perfect" to describe the sprog is most excellent!

ION, I think I was abducted by aliens last night. Must be that. Ya. I think they shoved a tube down my throat and stuck sharp things into my neck. Either that, or I slept really strange and snored a lot last night. But it can't be that, because I don't snore.

Yes, this.

I am a bad HK fan as we've already picked the bedding and it isn't anything Sanrio. We aren't setting up a nursery (yet) so baby and all his things are rooming with us. We wanted something that would work with our stuff and here's what we're gonna get:

We were sorely tempted by this way overpriced bedding set for our boy: [link]

ETA: We are on the lookout for a blue or black HK shirt, though!!!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Heh.

There needs to be a Star Trek-themed nursery.

Worst possible maternity ward theme: The Matrix, or Borg?
