Aren't they something. They're like butterflies, or little pieces of wrapping paper blowing around.

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

{{{Anne}}} I hope things improve. I really do.

That is a relief, P-C. Glad to hear he took responsibility.

You know, I was thinking about the fact that I was so surprised and relieved and grateful that he took responsibility and made no excuses at all...and it sort of annoyed me because, what the hell, that's what I should expect! It's what you're supposed to do if you're a decent person!

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'm sorry, anne. I hope things start easing for you soon.

Well, I'm off to Michigan this afternoon. Tomorrow we'll have Dad's interment and then we'll spend the weekend on Lake Huron.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Thanks for the hugs, all. I did wake up for a bit in the middle of the night, but I'm feeling reasonably rested. If all goes well, I may be able to get enough done today that the sense of immediate pressure is lifted somewhat.

I just wish I had the wherewithal to work more than 10 hours a day for a few days in a row.

Our wings are not tired.

I hope today brings a sense of accomplishment for you, Anne. I'm sorry you are going through this. Yes, I know these feelings well. Positive loving thoughts sent your way.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

What Laura said, Anne.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Calli, sounds like a tough, and possibly beautiful trip.

I hope today brings a sense of accomplishment for you, Anne. I'm sorry you are going through this. Yes, I know these feelings well. Positive loving thoughts sent your way.

What Laura said, Anne.

Perzactly. I don't think you should have to work killer hours just to get feel ok about your job.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

Congrats to Glamcookie on baby-boy-scan!

move out and draw fire

I just wish I had the wherewithal to work more than 10 hours a day for a few days in a row.

What WindSparrow said. Anyone would be psychically depleted from this.

Yay Glambaby! FWIW, my amnio was easy and positive (and was conducted in German rather than Greek, so I could understand what was going on). It was just the drama surrounding it that was hellish, but I'm hoping you aren't relying on a Dr. Dobson disciple who believes amnios are tantamount to abortion for a ride to and from the hospital.

Also, do take it easy afterwards - remodeling the kitchen can wait a day!
