Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I do the skin tags on Hubby's neck all the time. I've done a lot of impromptu minor surgery on him. The things they don't mention in the wedding vows.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Worst splinter I ever had was from when we were in Maine, and there was a bird's nest filled with eggs on one of the window ledges. I stood on a picnic bench to get a better look, and the bench wasn't quite as sturdy as I'd thought and I lost my balance. I was falling right toward the eggs, so I tried to break my fall by putting my hand against the side of the house, and ended up falling with my full weight onto one hand against the really rough cedar siding. Took like half an hour and lots of blood to get all that out of my palm.

I once removed a huge splinter from a friend's hand with a hatpin, because we were at club and had no other tools.

I'm now onto the edit/re-write portion of wrangling with the story. It's for the second volume of Steampunk Tales for the iPhone. I've been assured that the editor will accept it, but I'm still feeling nervous. But upon re-reading, everything seems to hang together so far.

(Yeah yeah, I know, I should be talking about this in GWW.)

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Okay, you've never been precisely scary before Jilli, but I am now completely terrified.

Heh. It's fine. Jilli, I sent you a question about clothes dying to your GCS address.

Random question for the day:

What's the difference between hand wash and body wash? I think just the price, but any thoughts?

I think I'd expect hand wash to have more moisturizer, but I have no idea if that's true.

Cool: a Stone Age flute. [link] There's a link there where you can listen to someone playing a replica of the flute they found.

Whaaaat? I sterilized things with the tiny bottle of hand sanitizer gel I had in my purse. It could have been worse, I could have had to sanitize the hat pin with a candle flame instead.

Vortex, I'll go poke at the GCS addy again. Things have been a bit chaotic in those folders.
