Alas, I think I'd miss it by the time I got there.
I am going here today, though, so yay fishies, fireworks, and food!
'Jaynestown'
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

ND, I hope ya make it home soon. Hopefully, it being the actual holiday, that means there are less people actually traveling, so you don't have to body check the asshat tourists.
I'm headed away from home on this trip. Not home in any apprecialble way until August 17th.
I may be able to watch fireworks from my patio tonight! I hope so. When UVA has a fireworks display, I can see it over the trees. That would be cool.
(UVA = University of Virginia)

I'm making this [link] , sort of. I'm replacing the corn with tomatoes and adding in some fresh veggies. I have a feeling it'll end up too salty for my taste, but I couldn't find low-sodium canned beans at the grocery store near me. I think I'm making spinach on the side, since I feel like this meal out to have something that doesn't some out of a can or the freezer.
Happy revolution day!
Me, being patriotic and shit before the parade: [link].
Cute!
Chez Zmayhem has resisted the lure of the couch. Emmett and I went running at Kezar Stadium (once around the track and then all the steps - 20 flights). Matilda (wearing a stripey pirate dress from Amy / Sara) ran four laps around the track with JZ in tow.
Emmett and I will make a trip down to San Mateo shortly to go to the Lego Store (if it's open today).
Then this afternoon we will go to a party in the East Bay hosted by some of JZ's oldest friends.
But we'll be back in time to Not!See the fireworks in the fog of San Francisco. If it's even half clear we could hike up to Tank Hill and see the fireworks over the water, but it's totally socked in.
It is a totally lazy day today. None of us have the ambition to do anything. It's cold and rainy. I'm hoping it will be dry by fireworks time. They start the music at 7pm with fireworks after 9 or so. I'd love to hear the music, but would likely be frozen through by boom time.
My nephew went to a pig roast. I think the only food being prepared here today is salt potatoes to be topped with whatever desired.
If it doesn't get nice enough to attend the official fire works we will do our own later, maybe tomorrow.
Teppy, love the patriotic flags! I have my patriotic shirt on. Let me see if my son can take a picture that shows the new hair too.
rinse the beans well, Hil -- it makes a huge difference. ( my dad is on a very low salt diet -- so I'm just in the habit of rinsing all canned beans )
We're headed out to a party that was supposed to be a pool party, but since it's rainy and not even 70, will probably end up being an eat-too-much-grilled-food, drink-too-much-beer party.
No more flags in my hair.
