I miss you already, love, but the critters are glad I didn't decide to try six for six. All three cats are purring on the bed with me, and Zoe is sleeping happily on her bed nearby. They love their housesitters, but they miss us when we're gone.
They may not miss me so much when they realize I'm feeding them a really late breakfast because they're going to be getting a really late dinner, though. I doubt I'll get home before 11 or 12.

Fourth of July in my neighborhood is fun. Just walked a few blocks, and spotted little kids all dressed up in red white and blue speaking at least three different languages.
The critters will have probably forgotten me by the time I am back.
Am awake. 4th is my favorite holiday. Like the forever teenager in me shedding the shackles of the overlord or something. Mostly it's the pretty fireworks. Love them! This is my first here in TX. Two folks have said "we'll call you when we learn details of what's going on." No phone calls yet.

Macaroni salad, lemonade, and BBQ sauce have been made, simple syrup is reducing on the stove (to be cooled down and offered to those who like their lemonade sweeter than I do). Grilling shall commence at 4pm sharp.
