Happy Fourth! I'm going to the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach with my friend Kristen. We have tickets for a day there, including an awesome BBQ buffet on the front lawn and a view of the fireworks. Traffic and people may make me crazy, but I'm looking forward to it.

Also, Barb, I have a big group of friends in Austin who would welcome you with open arms and show off their city with glee. It is such a great place to live! And direct flights from Austin to Ontario (airport 30 or so miles to our east) are affordable and I'm way overdue for a visit!

I miss you already, love, but the critters are glad I didn't decide to try six for six. All three cats are purring on the bed with me, and Zoe is sleeping happily on her bed nearby. They love their housesitters, but they miss us when we're gone.
They may not miss me so much when they realize I'm feeding them a really late breakfast because they're going to be getting a really late dinner, though. I doubt I'll get home before 11 or 12. t is bad pet mama
