Oh, sorry, Colonials! Happy "If-you-walk-out-that-door,-don't-you-ever-come-back!" day.
Heh.
Happy Fourth of July, Americans.
I continue to write my literature review. I would much rather be home and 'wedding' planning with The Girl. We've found an awesome little venue that suits us exactly! (And now I can't find it online. I'll link when I do.) Alas, we have nothing else planned yet, for we are very unsure about the whole 'ceremony' thing. But, venue. And music. And drinks. These are all planned in theory. The important things.
Kristin, I can definitely see the attraction of a white dress. If it weren't a bit of a cliche for gay girls, I'd be doing the full traditional dress thing. As it is, I have no idea what to wear. Something like this, possibly: [link] (although I am a long way from being that thin). Or maybe more informal. We shall see...
I agree with Fay - that Time Traveller's Corset is unbelievably beautiful. Now *that* I'd wear for my wedding.

I think it should be renamed "You're Not The Boss Of Me!" Day, or possibly "I Never Asked To Be Colonised!" Day.
"I Never Asked To Be Colonised" Day.
So...just 'celebrated' by bitter Native Americans, then?
in case you needed something to keep you from doing important things. Otherwise known as, "circle the cat"

(yes, it took me a half dozen tries, but I got it)
xposty with games thread too
JZ, you are evil with your oh so tempting links. Too bad I'm trying to be more financially responsible. Although, if they had had flat boots, they would have been mine mine mine.
::drool::
I want this skirt. [link]
And I'm woeing a lot that I look terrible in suits because I love this with an unreasoning love. [link]
Oh, sorry, Colonials! Happy "If-you-walk-out-that-door,-don't-you-ever-come-back!" day.
It could also be renamed the "We can't possibly do worse than your craxy-ass leaders" day. Which, of course, was sadly disproved. But why are they all named "George?"
Happy 4th, Americans! Suck it, British royalty!
I had the most AWESOME dream last night. It took place in the future Earth from the BSG finale, fast-forwarded to the time of the inevitable next Cylon revolt.
Which took place at a Buffista F2F. Which for some reason was steampunk themed and on a train.
Vortex turned out to be a Cylon. Juliana and I were really upset by this.
But mostly it was Buffistas running around in steampunk finery blowing shit up to save the human race from the sexy killer robots. As I said - AWESOME.
Happy 4th, Americans! Suck it, British royalty!
Happy Out From Under The Thumb Of The British Oppressors for 233 Years And Counting Day!!!
Steampunk F2F on a train saving the planet from Cylons sounds, if possible, even more fantastic than the usual purely earthbound but still fantastic flavor of F2F. The only way that could possibly be improved is if we held Prom on a Twenty-One Balloons style airship ballroom floor.
Damn, Barb! I didn't even look at the Dresses & Ensembles section, and now I'm dying for the Victorian Travelling Suit. And, damn, but there are a lot of Victorian boots with lots of buttons and reasonably low heels. Curse my foolish weakness for buttons and spats! Curse it!
I know! Isn't that suit to DIE for? I think they used some facsimile of the skirt of that suit with the corset you covet.
