Said it in Natter, saying it again, Happy Birthday, sj!
And Torchwood is, indeed, a huge amount of fun. It delves into the complexities of the human relationships a bit more than Who does, which it's able to because of the larger cast.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Happy Birthday, sj!!!

Torchwood is fun because of Captain Jack sleeping with every form of life in the multiverse. Stories aren't bad, aren't always brilliant. It's very watchable though.
Happy birthday to sj.
I should so very much be working on research. I can't get motivated because I'm worrying about my second essay result (worth half of the semester's grade), for which I am still waiting. Running into my course tutor and having a tense, awkward conversation in which she tried to avoid me and then asked when I'm seeing the course coordinator did not help.
Academia. It's evil and it eats you alive and I'm going back to school teaching. Where only the kids eat me alive...
Happy Anniversary to Beverly and her DH!!!

Wait, wait. Torchwood contains James Marsters ____ing John Barrowman?
I... just... it's out on DVD in the States, right?

Yep. Both seasons. James Marsters is in S2.
And just to give you some idea, his first ep has the title, "Kiss, Kiss, Bang, Bang" Subtle, they ain't.
Thanks, Barb! O, happy day.
