Shit. Malachi (my younger cat, he of the inappropriate bladder usage) has large amounts of protein in his urine. No bacteria, no blood, no signs of infection. Just protein. Lots of protein. More than last round of pee testing (when he had protein but also a UTI.) It might be nothing, or it might be progression towards renal failure. Should have blood results tomorrow.
eta: i don't know if i'm more worried about him or my own inner compass. Right now, i see two options.
1)He is fine, just a jerk, i put him on antianxiety meds and deal with the constant issues we've been going through since i adopted him last year.
2)He is seriously not at all fine and there is a strong possibility of having to have him put down.
The part that worries me? I don't have a strong preference right now between those two choices. I should obviously want #1, but there is a part of my mind that would relish starting over with a new cat who doesn't enjoy peeing on my bed while i sleep in it. I love him, but he's made my life very very very aggravating lately.
I wonder how something like that would look over a white dress for the elopement.

I have high blood sugar for the predinsone -- really Just have to wait it out. But every thing should return to normal.
I think that I just finished working out a proof that I've been working on for at least three years.

He's out of town. He's been out of town for a while. He told me to keep in contact with what I've been working on. I've been sending him updates every few days for the past two weeks. I have not gotten a single response.
I'm going to write up this proof tomorrow. I've got most of it at least vaguely typed up already, but I need to get it in order. There's one piece that I'm missing, but I'm nearly certain that I can prove it. Actually, I'm just going to ask my advisor about that one, because it's the sort of thing that he would have ideas about how to prove.
