Oh man. Also, that reminds me that I never sent you my address. Must rectify.
'Safe'
Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Also, Jilli? The Edison has an Absinthe Fairy. And Absinthe in abundance. And did I mention STEAMPUNK PARADISE??
And Captain Jack should be there somewhere
This means you'll definitely need a corset for your wedding outfit sweetie.
That Monday is a holiday for many, so that might make the Sunday thing work out a little better.
I like my eggs to taste like cake and cookies.
That's where french Freedom toast comes in, with lots of vanilla in the batter.
Hmm. I'm going to be in SF from January 13th to 16th. It's not that far from SF to LA, right?
You guys should get the Edison.
I've also discovered that my complete inability to make omelets also extends to vegan omelets -- I can never get them to fold without tearing.
I only really mastered them last year. The key was using a small omelet pan. Eight inches pan for a two egg omelet. And you have to swirl the egg around the pan until it gets thin at the edges. Just like you swirl crepe batter. Then I turn the spatula over and I can usually get the edge of the spatula under the crisp edge of the omelet and then you can fold it over neatly.
Honestly the main thing holding us back on the Edison is cost. We love it, but one of their limitations on a buyout is that they will only do an open bar, which is a huge piece of what drives our cost up. We were planning to do a cash bar.
And the fact that we really can't exclude the slightly-too-young niece. That's a big one. I don't think most of our friends would have any issue with leaving their kids at home, but that would suck for her since she's really not a kid anymore.
And yeah, the four-hour open bar is crazy expensive. Though still way less than a "typical" American wedding.
