Want. Oh, so, so, so bad.
Have I ever mentioned how very bitter I am that after years of moving north to escape the Florida heat and humidity and swearing we'd never, ever move back to Florida, my in-laws guilt-tripped us back into moving with the old chestnut of, "We'd love to be able to spend more time with the grandkids..."
And after we moved, they then bought a house in the North Carolina mountains at which they spend SIX FUCKING MONTHS of the year while we remain in Florida. Sweltering. In the heat.
Yes. Bitter.
It's gorgeous out here. Finally. And I may have to spend the whole day working and trying to catch up on a massive project because people won't stop fucking around and just do what they fucking committed to doing and I may yet have to choke a bitch. But at least I can do it from my porch. Yay?
I miss my husband and older son while Bobby and I spend this time up north, but I do not miss the heat rash under my breasts and my hair being soaked every time I walk out the door. I'll get enough of that when I get home mid-August. I love living in Florida, but the mid summer break helps a lot. I don't see how anyone could love that level of heat and humidity 24/7 for months.
It is finally gorgeous here. I loved waking up this morning and opening the windows and feeling the cool breeze.
It was lovely this morning, but the heat's heading up to oppressive levels as the day advances. Luckily, I spent some time outside this morning, and don't have to go anywhere until it's time to leave for Can't Stop the Serenity tonight.
I am so excited to be heading to Colorado. I don't care how hot it is. The near total lack of humidity will make up for it. Movers start tomorrow! Last day in our intact home until we get settled in Colorado mid to late August.
Someone tell me taking a hot steamy shower would be a good thing for my sinuses.
(And my hair, which feels like it's taking on a life of its own. *bleah*)
Another plus to the hot steamy shower is that it will seem chilly when you step out!
It cooled down pretty rapidly last night. We hit the high 70s in the daytime hours, though.
