Oh, and one other OB hetero thing was that the dr. typed on the ultrasound pic, "Hi Mom and Dad."
Fuck dat. People really ought to know better than to get cutesy around OB stuff.
Alternatively, there's always Chip, which is even kind of an actual name, I understand.
My college roommate was named Chip. His two best friends when he was growing up? Also named Chip. (Very preppy. Though not as preppy as Trip.)
I have my first appointment with a career counselor on Monday so basically... I have the weekend off! Today I'm going to spend getting organizized, cleaning the cat box, and cleaning out my car for what might be her last tow.
Most guys named Chip that I've known have either been actually named Charles or actually Very Preppy Name Jr. Every guy named Trip that I know is Very Preppy Name III.
Wow, GC. I'm kind of astounded. Maybe he forgot there were gay girls in the world, and was donating to Prop 8 in order to keep himself in business.
Either way, I agree with JZ. And I would've been revolted with the "hi Mom and Dad" on the ultrasound pix (as would all of my single-mother friends).
This one's for billytea: Stoned Wallabies Make Crop Circles.
I won't believe it until I see pictures of the crop circles.

I posted that in Natter. So far I've seen about four different news articles and blog posts about this, so lots of people seem amused by this.
Joel Madden on Twitter just posted "Rest in Peace, Farrah."
When I was a kid we had mulberry trees in the yard and sometimes the berries would ferment, the birds would get loaded, and my folks would have to keep the cats inside for a couple of days to prevent songbird carnage.
I won't believe it until I see pictures of the crop circles.
So would a high-quality crop circle be evidence for or against this?
If the circles suck, one might say, "Those look like they were made by a stoned wallaby."
The appointment is over and I'm glad. I hated his office (would have even w/o the gay thing hanging over it). The nurse wouldn't leave the room when I got changed, he and his nurse had zero bedside manner, they never addressed DW once (hell, they barely addressed me). And they tried to schedule me for an amnio with him - nu and uh. I said I'd call to schedule it, but no way am I going back to that office. He also did some scare tactics, but from what I hear, that is pretty common with the 1st tri screening. Anyway, glad it's over and will be finding another specialist for the amnio.
