Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Laga, really sorry. And doubt you were not working well. My guess: they are replacing you with someone cheaper, so they have to have an excuse because they can't call it a layoff if they are retaining your position.

The status is NOT quo.

Damn! I'm so sorry, Laga. I can't imagine anyone being more conscientious at work from what you've told me, though, so I'm confused. What on earth weren't you doing?

Can you at least file for unemployment?

Oh yes. I'm encouraged to file for unemployment plus the severance and I had a huge amount of vacation pay owed me. Right now I have more money in the bank than I've ever had before.
