I was under the impression that I was your big comfy blanky.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I'm getting all stressed out about writing my dissertation. Stress is no fun.

“Not dead yet!”

I don't think so, which is why I'm wondering about it. Maybe because I'm old (39)? That seems to be the reason for all kinds of things they do.

Yeah, that would be the only obvious factor. I was seriously overweight with both of my pregnancies, but I was also 28 & 30 and in otherwise ideal health. Hmm...

Thrive to spite them

YAY Congrats Glamcookie and DW and yay for Glambaby!! whoo!!

and thanks for birthday wishes. I got my performance review, there were some minor issues that I need to work on but I'm working on them. One is I tend not to look busy when the big boss comes by, but..that's.. well I try to look busy but some times I'm just waiting for the phone to ring.

So I expressed a strong desire to work another mid to long range project (I had one I was working on last year) and my boss was pleased to hear it and, I think, surprised and said there's a project coming up and he thinks he can figure out a way I can be a part of it He also mentioned that they are big on continuing education but there's not really formal CE for what I do and I told him that I would love to learn more about the company and have a deeper knowledge of what we do.

He also said he could see me growing into a new position at work in a few years and staying with the company a long time. I refrained from mentioning Vermont.

But the biggest thing was I need to work on my confidence and I think now I feel much more confident.

I'm chilling out to Fountains of Wayne. Also the source of my current tagline.

Glam, I should have had an early test, but I was out of the country. Will you be 40 when you deliver? I was, and that age triggers all sorts of extra tests and office visits.

OK, what should I do to destress? Play Wii tennis? Set up my Wii Fit? Either of those will require cleaning up a bit, because there isn't really clear floor space in front of my TV right now. Should I make lunch for tomorrow? Bake cupcakes?

Lunch for tomorrow is relatively easy. Steam some veggies, make some dip, put it all in lunchbox with some fruit or yogurt or something.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Glam, millions of congratulations to you and DW. You're going to be amazing parents.

Anybody know why I bought a bag of parsnips? Because I can't remember. I wouldn't have bought parsnips if I didn't have some plan for them.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Pie? Can you make pie out of parsnips?
