Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Not really! The getting up too early thing is a huge check in the CON column for the bus option.

I would not enjoy that with a toddler or my too-much-time-together-in-a-few-days sister nevermind both.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Driving is about 11 hours, without stops. There is a bathroom on the MegaBus and we'll have DVD's and games to distract Emeline and Joe with.

The DVDs and games: thumbs up!

The bus bathroom? Aims, I don't think you are going to like the bus bathroom.

How long is the trip on the bus?

Do not marry a giggler. You have been warned.

HEY! Not all gigglers are bad, thankyouverymuch!

Teppy, I am aghast at how the school is treating your mom.

Sean, babycakes, I echo what the smart pixie said.

ION, holycrapbusy! Book releases in OHMYGOD EIGHT DAYS. And I just sent a "Hi there, I'm interested in the editing position on your team" email to someone at the company. My nerves, not so great right now.

“Not dead yet!”

I've purchased this dress for a family wedding.

Any shoe thoughts? I can't wear too much of a heel because of a toe problem. Ugh.

Ooh, that is a gorgeous dress! I think if you want to evoke the flapper look the dress suggests, the other thing you could look for is a dressy flat or low-heeled Mary Jane.

Jilli, I meant to tell you--I spoke with my manager at B&N on Saturday and asked him if I could put your book up at the register next to me when I work, and he said I could as long as your book is something we carry normally.

So, I'm hoping that we'll have a few copies of your book on the shelf so I can sell them!!!

Kathy, I am certain that the GCS book is one that will be carried in B&N stores across the land.

Empress,Could you compromise? Take the bus there, but share the rental car coming back?

We have to use the bathroom at the ball fields quite frequently. I've learned to close my eyes and breathe through my mouth. And I've heard that the MegaBus is very very different from Greyhound. For one thing, Double Decker!! I'm going to talk myself into believing I'm on the Knight Bus.

I booked the tix. It might suck a whole lot on the way home, but then again, it might be fun. We shall see.
